Bobbi Nikles, founder and longtime director of fiddlekids.
A versatile musician with a special interest in Appalachian, Celtic, and jazz fiddle styles, Bobbi currently performs with the Black Brothers, Douce Ambiance, and Curlew. She has performed with Melanie O'Reilly, Wake the Dead, and many contradance bands. Her CD "Fire in the Air" was released in 2010. She inspires with her warm and creative teaching style, melodic playing, and her infectious love for the fiddle."
Myra Joy began playing cello at six years old and has a degree from San Francisco Conservatory of Music. She is a founding member of Elameno Quintet and Sweet Moments of Confusion.
Myra has had the pleasure of collaborating with many musicians and ensembles including: Kitka, The Black Brothers, Hans York, Melanie O'Reilly, Druid Sister's Tree Party, the pickPocket Ensemble, and Hamed Nikpay. Myra has participated in masterclasses and festivals with cellists such as Stephen Geber, Richard Aaron, Nathaniel Rosen, and Peter Reijto, and studied privately with Debbie Tandoc, Peter Gelfand, Page Smith, Andor Toth, and Jean-Michel Fonteneau.
